I have often said that Brentina was bred to produce… and in fact, she has been an extraordinary producer. And, I have often said that her son Titus is one of my favorite dogs of all time, with outstanding virtue in areas that the breed today needs.

Look around in the ring today. What you see are exhibitors who haven’t a clue about structure or the Breed standard, and entries of dogs with poor toplines, weak loins and lousy croups, often compounded by a rectangular make and shape, with a grossly overdone front assembly, and too much angulation behind. We have breeders chasing some wheelbarrow front assembly, that is neither correct or useful for “endurance and speed” that our Doberman breed standard mandated.

Titus offers a superb topline, loin connection and tail set, all in a correctly square elegant package. And he has one of the best heads I have ever seen in the breed. It is a wedge from any angle. These structural qualities are not trivial, if they do not already exist in your breeding program, they likely never will.

Below are two puppies, by Titus out of a lovely Trotyl daughter – U-Gr. Ch. Breezewood Half Baked V Halo  These beautiful puppies, bred by Tracy Daugherty and Jason Alley of Halo Dobermans are an outstanding reflection on their sire… and their dam.  Any breeder will tell  you that N-O-T-H-I-N-G is more gratifying than seeing your breeding program go forward in successive generations of quality, guided by other knowledgeable breeders, carrying your pedigree into the future.   I can not think of a greater tribute to our breeding program than the lovely puppies Jason and Tracy have produced.
