Logres’ Butterfly Flip

Flip was sired by Ch. Trotyl de Black Shadow out of Logres’ Brentina

Butterfly Flip is a full sister to Ch. Logres’ Warkant, Ch. Logres’ Contucci, Ch. Logres’ Contender, Ch. Logres’ Feinbrand, Can. Ch. Logres’ Voltaire, Can Ch. Logres’ Weihaiwej (11 AKC pts including a major), and Logres’ Wahajama (18 AKC pts and three majors *) – and Logres’ DeNiro.

Flip is the only daughter of Logres’ Brentina that we have used in our breeding program, and for good reason. Flip embodies what we hoped to produce when we bred to Ch. Trotyl de Black Shadow. She has tremendous bone and substance, a superb shoulder assembly, strong back and loin, and correct tail-set, all in a square, compact package.

Flip is negative for Dr. Meur’s DCM gene, OFA GOOD and a vWD Carrier.

We love what Flip has produced in the litters we’ve seen:

In 2014 we bred Flip to Ch. Phillmar Man of Steel. She whelped seven beautiful puppies. We are excited to see this final litter from her. At this point we are very impressed.
In 2011, when bred to the Eddie son, Ch. Cambria’s Omen, Flip produced Ch. Logres’ Ramiro (who finished with three majors and a BISS over ten specials, as a move up on the day he finished), and Logres’ Boom Boom Bang, who has 12 pts and three majors, and Ava Gardner, Vivian Leigh, Olivia, Katharine Hepburn, Kes, Hannah, Heartbreaker and Elizabeth. In her first litter, in 2010, bred Flip to our beloved Kafka son, Ch. Logres’ Titanium. Flip produced Ch. Logres’ Argentinus (finished with three majors and a Breed over Specials), Ch. Logres’ Matiné (dam of our 2014 Jet litter), Annisette, Puck,, Celine, Adisa and Lourdess. The Dobequest link to this litter is here

A search of this website will provide info on each of Flip’s puppies. For reasons I can not now recall, we never bothered to take photos of Flip – so there are very few of her – and they are always at the tail end of an album of photos for another dog or horse, so it is nearly impossible to find them in the hundreds of thousands of photos we’ve taken over the years. Recently (February 2013) I found the photos of Flip in the Gallery above. They are from May 14, 2008, when she was about 10 months old. At the time – back in 2008 – I could not see past the flaws in the photos. At this point in time, they are priceless.
